What does it mean to be queer?

“What Does it Mean to be Queer?” Is a mixed media installation that tells the stories of 5 named and 30 anonymous Queer students through photographs, vinyl quotes, a handmade jacket, a carved wood sculpture covered in quilted fabric, and a series of two-process prints. It is curated to resemble a magazine spread come to life. the text in the exhibit is based on an anonymous survey that asked “What does queerness mean to you?” Five responders volunteered to be photographed and interviewed further.
